Ministry of Education issues Emirati Day for Education Celebration Guide

​The Ministry of Education (MoE) has issued the Emirati Day for Education Celebration Guide, a unified frame of reference for all events and activities organised on the occasion being marked across all schools on February 28^th, 2025. The Emirati Day for Education was designated under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to highlight the importance of education in the UAE and its pivotal role in building generations and society, and celebrate its contribution to the country's societal development.

The Ministry's guide defines Emirati Day for Education as a national occasion to raise awareness of the role of education in the country's progress and shine a spotlight on national efforts to elevate the education system in alignment with global standards. It also outlines key objectives, including emphasising the importance of education in the country's development vision; highlighting educational achievements and celebrating national educational gains; honouring outstanding teachers and administrative staff; motivating students; strengthening community partnerships; and reinforcing the role of society in supporting the education sector.

The guide also outlined the celebration schedule for Emirati Day for Education activities, which are set to take place from February 24th-28th, 2025. Teachers, students, and parents will all participate, with full continuation of education during the celebration days.

The Ministry's proposed activities for the celebration highlight the history of education in the UAE, key milestones, and its role in shaping individuals and society. The initiatives also aim to strengthen national identity among students and showcase the education sector's major achievements.

The guide includes the rules and regulations for organising events, ensuring such events incorporate educational themes and are tailored to different student age groups and abilities. The guide also stresses the need to conduct activities under teachers' supervision, adhere to existing school guidelines for celebrations, and apply standard school event safety procedures.

The guide aligns with the Ministry's dedicated aim of organising celebrations that align with the UAE's commitment to investing in knowledge and innovation, while reinforcing education as a fundamental pillar of national development.
