His Excellency Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister
of Education and Her Excellency Jameela Al Muhairi, Minister of State for
Public Education, stressed that confidence in achieving the best educational
systems, empowering our students for the 21st century knowledge and skills, and
making innovation a solid methodology for the Emirati society, are being reinforced
by the support of the UAE wise leadership, and
is manifested in the leadership’s effective, supportive and continuous
guidance of national strategic visions in the education sector.
Their Excellencies praised His Highness
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy
Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for his reception of the students
who participated and competed in the National Science, Technology and
Innovation Festival, which HH patronized as part of “The Exceptional in Qasr Al
Bahr” initiative. This initiative aims to present the students’ innovative
projects, create awareness about the thinking behind those projects and honor
them at Abu Dhabi's Qasr Al-Bahr. The initiative is a vivid embodiment of His
Highness’ keen interest in science and its students and a sincere expression of
his vision for enhancing our students' abilities, which has resulted in a new
and innovative generation of Emiratis who possess full confidence in a
promising future for education in the UAE.
His Excellency Hussain Al Hammadi said that
we, in the UAE, are lucky and grateful at the same time for our exceptional
leadership that closely follows the pace of educational developments, is in
touch with its updates, and constantly strives to achieve stability for our
students through providing the best educational environments, in addition to
educational curricula and efficient teaching staff, in order to achieve the best
education and quality indicators, as well as encourage students of science and
teachers, and honor and motivate them to invest in their abilities.
His Excellency pointed out that innovation
has become one of the most important indicators of progress in any country. He
added: “This is something that we have considered within the UAE education
system in line with our leadership vision and national aspirations. We have
diversified teaching methods, educational materials and specialized curricula
that enhance innovation in order to become more modernized and in line with the
UAE’s directions for graduating innovative and creative generations.
His Excellency said that the Innovation
Festival, which was recently implemented during the five-day UAE Innovation
Month, resulted in outstanding outcomes for the Emirati school students, who
presented 100 innovative projects that revealed their talents, motivation,
passion and love for learning. His Excellency added that the festival has
achieved its educational and enrichment goals, and has functioned as a trusted
educational platform for a new state of educational mobility, thanks to the
generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown
Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
He added that His Highness’ invitation to
receive the seven students who presented the best projects during the event,
shows His Highness’ keenness to strengthen the frameworks that support our
students and give them confidence, and motivation for continuous learning. It
is a gesture that touched the hearts before the minds, and at the same time a
message from His Highness that the student of science will remain the focus of
attention, the wealth of the present and the guarantee of the future.
For her part, Her Excellency Jameela Al
Muhairi, said that education in the UAE has made continuous strides in all its
aspects. “This is due to the great attention we receive from our wise
leadership”, noting that the educational field’s confidence in achieving a
sustainable and effective educational system is growing and renewed thanks to
this support, which we constantly see and is reflected positively at a rapid
pace on development and enhancement.
She said that the Emirati school is today
more competitive and global, and is full of students' talents and innovations
that are manifested on many occasions, whether local or international. She
pointed out that our ambition has no roof in creating highly skilled
generations who master the 21st century skills, possess the best knowledge and
sciences, as well as the ability to deal with the latest developments and
modern techniques. This has called for equipping the Emirati school with
continuous development, provision of best educational practices, and making
innovation a work methodology and subject of study.
Her Excellency Jameela Al Muhairi commended the initiative of
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and
Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to honor the students who
presented innovative projects during the National Science, Technology and
Innovation Festival, through embracing and receiving them at Qasr Al Bahr. “This
is what has given them the motivation and encouragement to continue to
accomplish and present pioneering ideas that contribute to the development of
their homeland and their society”.
