Ministry of Education launches "Our Schools, Our Responsibility" initiative to equip staff with educational leadership skills
The Ministry of Education has launched the "Our School, Our Responsibility" initiative targeting the Ministry's youth staff. The initiative articulates the Ministry's vision and mission to create qualified national cadres capable of dealing with the challenges as well as allowing young people to participate in the development of solutions to new issues in various areas. The Ministry also believes that education is a shared responsibility among all members of society and that efforts should be consolidated and the passion of youth should be utilized to enhance their performance and take it to new heights.The initiative aims to involve staff in various fields of educational work and to inform them of the efforts exerted by the Ministry at the beginning of each academic year to ensure an optimal start for the academic year. The initiative also promotes leadership capabilities for all Ministry staff to take the initiative and undertake planning for educational work.

His Excellency Engineer Abdulrahman Al Hammadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Supervision and Support Services, during a special meeting organized by the Ministry in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Her Excellency Fawzia Gharib, Assistant Undersecretary for the School Operations Sector, a number of assistant agents, directors of educational zones, directors of departments in the Ministry of Education and a large number of employees said " Through this initiative, we are working in the Ministry of Education to harness these energies to serve our educational mission and to add new dimensions to the education, which will be centered on young people.
He explained that the educational process calls for more effort to improve it and avoid any obstacles. Therefore, we count on the initiative to provide the opportunity for the Ministry's employees, especially the youth group, to give a qualitative addition to the overall effort exerted to manage our schools efficiently. The Ministry is working to develop non-traditional mechanisms for the management and planning of educational work.
Under the initiative, the ministry will set up 21 teams of staff. Each team will work with field managers and the school operations sector to monitor the progress of 30 schools in various regions of the country and coordinate with the concerned parties to deal with any emergency that may affect the educational process.
The initiative encourages employees to adopt creative and positive ways of thinking to find solutions for any emergency by working in as a team. The initiative also provides a free exchange of information and experiences among the staff, which in turn qualifies them to refine their talents and demonstrate them systematically and thoughtfully.
