As part of its pioneering journey toward eliminating bureaucracy in government procedures, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has achieved significant results. By revisiting and redesigning all its public services, the ministry announced its success in eliminating over
56 million procedures, targeting a total of
27 operations across its services. These efforts aim to save more than
116 million work hours annually and eliminate
1.5 million documents.
The ministry stated that it has embedded the objectives of the “Zero Bureaucracy" initiative into its policies, considering it a fundamental guiding principle. To ensure the achievement of these goals, an internal committee was formed to activate and monitor the initiative across processes aligned with the government's vision. As a result, the ministry succeeded in canceling approximately
169 million steps annually, encompassing both external and internal procedures across its services.
The ministry also highlighted that, following a comprehensive study of its services in collaboration with partners, it reduced the time required to access its services by nearly
70%, reflecting its commitment to enhancing service efficiency and achieving flexibility in delivery.
The ministry confirmed that it is conducting a thorough assessment of all measures taken in this regard, working toward greater flexibility in its services and procedures to sustain development efforts and enhance the competitiveness of its offerings, aligning with the UAE's aspirations in this domain.
The ministry carried out several projects and measures to achieve the objectives of the “Zero Bureaucracy" program. These included improving the EmSAT booking service, adjusting the requirements and procedures for admission into the second phase of the advanced track, enhancing the integrated service for attesting general education certificates in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and optimizing the equivalency service for school certificates for grades 9 to 11 within the UAE. Additionally, the ministry worked on transforming operations at its contact center, utilizing artificial intelligence tools to improve customer relationship management, and upgrading its internal transformation system to manage technical projects and develop applications using agile methodologies.
