It emphasises the creation of safe, non-discriminatory learning environments and the child's right to education and protection under national legislation and ratified international conventions.
Further provisions assign roles and responsibilities to educational institutions, requiring appointment of child protection officers, staff screening and training, secure reporting channels, and awareness-raising among students and parents. The policy also mandates collaboration with educational authorities and relevant bodies to ensure timely intervention, support services and ongoing monitoring in accordance with applicable law.
