The
MoE has finalized the third edition of the National Ambassadors Program
“estedad,” which has been held virtually during the school vacation, in
partnership with leading universities and institutions in the country. The
program targeted students from grade eight to grade 12 and government, private,
and vocational school teachers.
This
year’s edition of the program attracted 923 male and female students, 32 male
and female distinguished teachers from UAE, and 60 distinguished male and
female students from KSA for the second year in a row, as part of the close,
strategic cooperation between KSA and UAE in the area of education.
Twenty-nine
programs have been implemented under “estedad” by nine strategic partners of
the MoE, namely Emirates University,
University of Sharjah, American University of Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi
University, Rochester Institute of Technology - Dubai, Ajman University,
Khalifa University, Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health
Sciences, and Injaz UAE.
Her Excellency Dr. Amna Al-Dahak
Al-Shamsi, Assistant
Undersecretary for Care & Capacity Building Sector at the MoE, said, “The
‘estedad programs’ initiative, launched by the Moe in June 2020, aims to enable
the students with knowledge and various skills to enhance their abilities and
polish their personalities. The programs will also make it easy for them to
engage in university life confidently and boost their chances of success in both
their university studies and careers. The programs will also enable teachers to
have an effective role in making the education system succeed, as the training
opportunities offered to them will enrich and enhance their knowledge and build
their research capacities and innovative, creative skills in all areas.”
H.E. praised the distinguished participation of
Saudi students in the various programs and tracks of “estedad”. She that a new
track had been introduced, namely the
cultural and creative industries track, to achieve the UAE's national strategy
for creative and cultural industries, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of
Dubai, may Allah preserve him, in 2021.
