‘Good Health and Well-being’
As part of the series of dialogues of the Sustainable Development Goals in the UAE, a panel discussion was held at the headquarters of the Dubai Sports Council to discuss the third of the Sustainable Development Goals, this being ‘Good Health and Well-being’ in co-operation with the Dubai Sports Council.
In addition to HE Amal Al Kous and HE Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, the panel discussion was attended by representatives of UNESCO and a number of students from schools affiliated with the UNESCO Associated Schools Network.
The series aims at familiarizing school students with the Sustainable Development Goals and creating positive interaction with their contents and constructive missions aimed at improving life in communities. It is also aimed at exploring the students’ ideas about the Sustainable Development Goals with a view to serving and supporting their orientations.
Praising the Ministry of Education’s role in spreading the values of the Sustainable Development Goals among students, Hareb underscored Dubai Sports Council’s effective partnership with all UAE community and educational institutions with a view to raising awareness about the importance of sports and its role in improving the quality of life of the society members.
In her speech, Al Kous stressed that the series of dialogues is aimed at exploring the students’ ideas and future aspirations in all aspects related to the Sustainable Development Goals.
