Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, and Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, affirmed that The UAE’s female and male students have proven, through their presence in the fields of honor and military training, that they are The UAE’s hope and future .They praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, may God save him, and His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their interest in supporting the nation’s youth.
They pointed out that the youth of The UAE today became a representation of will and determination, taking the lead to gain the honor of defending their homeland, and sacrificing their lives to preserve its accomplishments. They added that UAE leadership pays great attention to its youth and is intent on instilling and establishing the values of loyalty, belonging and sacrifice in the hearts of the people of the homeland.
This was stated during the visit made yesterday to the National and Reserve Service Recruits Training Centre at Sieh Al Hama in Al Ain, which was established for the recruits affiliated to the National Service, and equipped according to the latest training and qualification systems. They also attended a reception for the Founding and Advanced Volunteer Course 2017 provided for male and female students.
They were received upon their arrival by Staff Major General Faisal Mohammed Al Shehhi, Commander of Solitary Training at Sieh Al Hama, and a number of high-ranking officers of the armed forces.
HE Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi said that the volunteer summer course for male and female students, launched by the National and Reserve Service Authority under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has an enlightened thought and forward-looking vision to build well-equipped generations that are capable of facing the challenges of the present and the future.
He added that the youth have always been a priority in the approach of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as part of his vision, which is based on establishing responsible, leading, thinking and creative generations, holding on to their roots and national identity; capable of moving forward to be an important pillar of development and advancement through many meaningful initiatives, activities and programs for students.
On her part, HE Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrui said that since the issuance of the National Service Law in 2014 by His Highness the President of the State, we have witnessed the great demand from the UAE youth to serve their homeland through joining the National Service Program. This reflects The UAE people's passion and desire to serve their country in all fields. This passion reached its peak when we witnessed voluntary groups, such as men over the age of 30 and women, not subject to compulsory service, hasten to join the National Service Voluntary Program. This is what is expected by the wise leadership from the people of the UAE.
Al Mazrui emphasized that the National and Reserve Service Authority, under the Pilot Staff Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, has proved high efficiency in the past period in the management of trainees and those who are affiliated to the National Service. Today, the National and Reserve Service Authority provides community services by training male and female students in specialized military courses during the summer vacation to fill their free time, and teach them the UAE values such as discipline, giving, cooperation and service of the homeland. They expressed their greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, God save him, for his right vision and profound prospects on the regional and international changes and the strategic position of the State. They expressed their sincere appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, who believes that National Service is a great honor. HE Al Hammadi and Al Mazrui were keen on having lunch with the persons affiliated to the Volunteers Course in an atmosphere filled with love and passion, where they addressed the volunteers saying that "You are the hope and you are the future. You are the ones who build the homeland. We are proud of you and our leaders. We ask Allah to maintain our stability, safety and security". Al Hammadi and Al Mazrui thanked the Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and the Pilot Staff Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, for the national efforts; which support building the military capabilities and potentials of the nation's people,appropriately prepare them to be ready to bear all responsibilities, and strengthen their expertise with the necessary military sciences.
