The Ministry of Education (MoE) yesterday announced the winners in the first edition of the ‘Inspiring Teachers’ initiative during a virtual ceremony organized by the MoE. The initiative was widely attended by educational staff from the public and private sectors due to its importance in developing teachers' capabilities and motivating teachers to adopt innovative educational practices that are inspired by the status of education under the current exceptional circumstances. The initiative attracted 344 participants from 67 schools and 11 male and female teachers were honored during the ceremony.
The initiative aims at upgrading the UAE’s education system by spreading new and distinct ideas in the educational field with a view to motivating teachers to adopt up-to-date and forward-looking educational patterns derived from the MoE’s vision of the future of education in the UAE. This applies to direct education and smart education that came in response to the aspirations of the wise leadership, which worked for years to invest in it as an educational model that adds multiple innovation and creativity-based entrepreneurial dimensions to the education system.
As many as 11 winners were honored for their projects that had a great effect on improving the learning environments in their respective schools. These were Rashid Ali Abdul Rahman Hashem for his ‘Smart Carpet’ initiative for traffic safety of school students; Aisha Ismail Farhan Al Barood and Khulood Al Zaabi for their initiative ‘Hacking Timss and Stream’; Khulood Youssef Khalaf Al Mansouri for her initiative ‘Arabic Pearls Game’; Hana Mohammed Ibrahim Ahmed for her initiative ‘Learning Technology and Entry into the Global Educational Community’; Roshan Humaid for his initiative ‘YouthMade MPSOnlineStore4U- Where Sustainability Meets The Market’; Sama Zaki Abdeen Abdul Ghani for her initiative ‘Virtual Lab of Languages’; Fatima Saeed Rashid Al Shaer for her initiative ‘Reading Challenge 2020’; Aisha Ali Saeed Al Hantoubi for her initiative ‘Three-storey Intelligence Strategy’ and Budoor Shaheen Ali for her initiative “Employment of virtual reality and virtual personalities in direct and distance learning’.
