Through its participation in GITEX exhibition, ministry of education has added to its other smart services two new services in consistence with the ministry’s current trend that aims at enhancing and corroborating use of technological solutions in the field of education.
This comes within the preparation for the “Transformation to Smart Teaching” where the ministry is seriously acting to utilize all smart teaching solutions towards a leading position and efficiency at the international level, and, realize the ministry’s vision with the aim of reinforcing the foundations for a modern pioneer education system that cope with the ever emerging changes and developments in the field of education and other areas, thus achieving the UAE’s ambitions and national agenda.
The new two services, the Smart Training Platform and, SIS Application for Students & Parents will contribute to the development process in terms of quality of the educational environment, as they provide certain interactional vital characteristics that influence every component of the educational field.
The Smart Training Platform aims at enrolling teachers in different training courses through the World Wide Web with the aim of upgrading their skills and developing their professional performance thus improving the outcomes of the Emarati school. This platform will also help the teacher attain relevant and modern experience and skills, and further enables him to manage the class room utilizing modern methods and tools.
Moreover, this platform will provide the teacher with the up-to-date skills of how-to-treat students in a manner that encourages them to respond positively during the class and override the old fashion traditional role of the teacher to the benefit of a more effective role based on invention and creation through the utilization of modern tools of learning.
The role of this platform complements the role of ministry’s previously launched “Smart Council” allowing all teachers and school headmasters to communicate with each other and share experience and knowledge. This also contributes to creating a cooperative educational environment where creative ideas can be discussed together with the teacher’s performance improvement methods.
Applying SIS system for Student & Parents aims at providing an interactive electronic environment and certain data on students in all aspects like conduct, medical status, absenteeism, score sheets, and self-registration for users.
This application allows students and parents to follow up the school agenda, and notices, and to comment there on.
The ministry’s platform in GITEX is characterized by the participation of the school students there in, and introducing their inventive projects which shall contribute to the development of school environment.
Projects of absenteeism and the Pen printer that aids the students who experience difficulties in drawing skills will also be displayed there.
