The Ministry of Education launches, in the
cultural theatre of Nadwa in Dubai, the first session of masterpieces
initiative for the development of students' talents in visual arts, heritage,
theatre and music in the presence of HE Jameela Bint Salem Al Muhairi, the
Minister of State for Public Education, HE Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Assistant
Undersecretary for Care and Activities, and HE Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi, Chaiman
of the board of director of Nadwa for culture and education.

In its first session the initiative witnessed
a high turnover among students and parents paid significant attention to it.
About 1300 students applied to the initiative from which the jury chose 183
students in the four areas of the initiative. The admitted students to the
initiative will carry out performance trials before specialized jury in all
area, which was attended by professors from Paris-Sorbonne University and a
number of expert institution from inside and outside the Country.

HE Jameela Bint Salem Al Muhairi praised the
level of students' performance participating in the initiative and the great efforts
they have exerted to develop their diverse artistic talents. HE also pointed to
the ongoing great support provided by the Ministry in the purpose of making the
initiative successful, enriching the students with high-level talents in
various arts, qualifying then to represent the Ministry international forums
related to fields of heritage, theatre, music and visual arts.

Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi confirmed that the
Ministry is looking forward to achieving certain goals from this initiative.
These goals are the formation of a school orchestra team, theatre team, and
another team for heritage and visual arts, as well qualifying these teams to
honor the name of the country in all international platforms specialized in
such fields.
HE stressed that the Ministry annually
launches a series of rich activities aimed to develop the abilities and talents
of students, stimulate creativity and excellence, help them with high quality
experiences and practices with strong cognitive momentum and competiveness in the
purpose of expand the aspiration of students to the fullest extent of
innovation, creativity and leadership.
