The Ministry of Education has adopted the "Inclusive Education Policy" in public and private schools that follow the Ministry's curriculum. It targets nine categories of students of determination through the achievement of 12 goals. This motion, which is aligned with the directives of the state, is meant to empower students of determination and facilitate their integration into the school community.
The Ministry has stated that the Inclusive Education Policy is the result of joint efforts on behalf of numerous relevant authorities who strove towards organizing the procedures and services provided to students of determination. This was done to achieve quality, inclusive education in accordance with international best practices.
The Ministry highlighted that inclusive education is one in which students of determination from kindergarten to twelfth grade engage in an educational program that is collaborative as well as supportive of their unique needs. This step forward will allow for great progress and the removal of barriers that may lead to student exclusion or neglect. In turn, this ensures that students of determination receive quality education by addressing their needs in a way that communicates respect, acceptance, responsiveness, and support.
